The RAV4 model features a streamlined design with two main configurations: Solo Mode or Full Width Mode. A unique headboard doubles as a tailgate extension, adding functionality and maximizing usable space for your adventures.

  • Guaranteed to Fit Toyota RAV4: Tailored specifically for the RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid, ensuring a snug fit without modifications. (Prime models require DIY trimming)

  • Solo Mode: Solo mode provides 29" width platform, and enables seating for 1 rear passenger.
  • Full Mode: Full mode provides 52" width platform.
  • Interchangeable Headboard/Tailgate: The headboard makes use of the space behind the front seats to provide an additional 14" of bed length giving you a spacious 6'1" sleeping platform.  The headboard also doubles as a tailgate table.
  • Quick Installation & Removal: No tools required—install or remove the platform in minutes.

Installation Notes

  • Seat Spacer: Use the seat spacer on the drivers side support to accommodate for seat variation.
  • Optional Tie Down Locations: Tie down slots located near factory tie down rings to provide additional retention for rough driving scenarios.
  • Full width Platform is NOT compatible with Rav4 Large Subwoofer option. Please email photos of your interior to support@bambeds.com if you have any doubt about fitment. Installing your BamBed for the Rav4 is simple—no tools, no hardware, no headache. Start by inserting the stiffeners into all three legs. Then if you're running the platform in the full width, attach the leveling stiffener to the bottom of the drivers side leg. Once assembled, slide the boards into their position and push down.

Load Capacity

The BamBed has a load capacity of 1500lbs. This robust capacity ensures that you can safely carry a wide range of gear, equipment, and supplies without compromising strength or stability.

Is it weatherproof?

BamBeds are built to withstand tough conditions and endure alongside your vehicle, but they are not fully weatherproof. They are designed to handle various weather elements and rugged use, making them durable for most scenarios.

If you’re particularly concerned about exposure to wet environments—such as when not under a camper shell, or if exposed to fish guts or soaking wetsuits—consider coating your boards with a water-based polyurethane sealant for added protection.

For bamboo components, we use mineral oil during the initial finishing to protect against moisture and enhance the material’s color. If you notice your bamboo starting to fade, reapplying basic mineral oil can help restore its finish.
